- We've got another ice storm coming in. If the ice storm gets really bad, and power goes out in our ward boundaries, please first make sure you are safe, then call your sisters that you visit teach. Check to make sure they have power, water, heat, food or if any serious damage has been done, and rate the immediacy of it. Once you determine what if any the needs are, you report them to your visiting teaching district leader. They are Sister Haslam and Sister Cross. Or call Sister Cane if needed. All information will be passed on to the proper Priesthood authority.
- The Recognition Dinner for all those sisters who have completed the 52 activities in the blue book "Strengthening One Another by Living a More Christ-Centered Life" is in the works. It has been stressed that the only requirement is that you complete 52 activities. They need not be in order or done completely for each week. Please check your books. Evaluate what you have done, even if you did not keep up with your record keeping. Let us know asap ( call a member of the RS Presidency) and we will celebrate with you!
- As a Relief Society Presidency,(this may be all three of us, or just one) we are visiting our sisters in the ward. Our goal is to visit with everyone. Please don't feel uncomfortable when you get a phone call from us. We are not coming to check your homemaking skills. We are coming because we love you and want to get to know you a little better. Please make yourselves available, we come in peace!
- Happily Half Hour! is something new to our Quarterly Enrichment Meetings. Starting at 6:00 pm we will have social time and, for those interested, an exchange. We will still serve our light meal at 6:30 sharp at which time we will have our "on time gift" drawing. We have 2 kinds of exchanges going on. 1) Book Exchange - Ever read a really great book, but know you'll probably never read it again? Sign your name in it and bring it with you to the exchange. The idea is that we can share "good books" with each other. When you're done, sign your name,( It's a fun way to see who else has read the book) and bring it back for someone else to enjoy! 2) "Next to new" exchange - Have something you don't use or haven't for too long, but hate to just put it in the box for Goodwill?Bring it to the exchange. It's nice to share with those we know and love. If you see something you really like, take it! You don't have to bring something in order to take something. All items will be donated to a charity after the meeting is over, so please reclaim it at the end of Enrichment Meeting, if you're not ready for that step.
- Save the Date: Quarterly Enrichment Activities - these will now be held on Wednesday nights as the building in no longer available on Thursday nights. On these four dates, all YM/YW and Primary activities will be canceled so that all sisters will be available to attend. Children's classes will be provided for those that can not make other arrangements (i.e. husband or family).F
